HiRez Media is an award-winning internship program running out of University Hall, UWA. The program aims to allow students to develop real-world communications experience with industry standard tools, whilst simultaneously delivering high-quality products. Within the first year of its inception, it managed to obtain the APSAA award for ‘Excellence In Student Experience 2019’, affirming the high-quality content the program is delivering. Creative Learning Approach Learning on the job is one way in which interns are allowed to gain real-world knowledge and express both their creativity and problem-solving techniques. From the beginning, students are given a crash course on how to plan and execute a digital media campaign, following which, they are allowed to use that information out in the field. All the learning that follows is from their own personal experience with Industry Partners - to refine the work and guide them along the way. The end result is interns that are competent and confident in their ability to work, resulting in videos and contents of high production value.
