Histen Riller

The HISTEN RILLER (HR) company was founded in 1979, and initially focused on producing databases for aeronautics firms. HR was thus naturally involved with advanced technology. In 1993 the company entered the business intelligence market, offering information awareness services covering technological, commercial and strategic topics. HR is able to carry out a range of advisory assignments: audits, organisational study of documentation or decision-making information systems, implementation of information intelligence strategies and structures (intelligence flowchart, network activities), selection of documentation technologies or electronic document management. Some customers outsource documentation activities with HR. These services may be executed at HR's offices, or by personnel assigned to the customer's premises. Fortified by this new market position, and drawing up its experience and know-how in all aspects of professional information services, HR has emerged as a front-ranking actor in this sector in France. HR is a member of the Association des Professionnels de l'Information et de la Documentation (ADBS), the prime trade group in France which federates all documentation professions, and cofounder of the Syndicat National des Prestataires en Information (SYNAPI), a trade association for private business intelligence service providers whose first chairman was the CEO of Histen Riller. HR is in contact with all the movements active in the information community, and the network of relationships with the main players in information services puts the company and its staff at the heart of thinking and trends in this domain. As an example, the company's CEO is a member of the AFNOR X90A standards committee, and participated in writing the AFNOR standard on information awareness services. He is regularly asked to make presentations at the major professional information events and to write articles for specialised publications.
