Hive Public Space

Hive Public Space is a BIPOC and women-led Urban Design and Placekeeping studio based in New York City. Specializing in a range of scales, from Urban Design and Public Art to Community Engagement and Programming, they reimagine and activate underutilized public spaces to foster inclusive environments that celebrate local identity, culture, and economic vitality. With a focus on leveraging existing community resources, Hive Public Space crafts tailored action plans that inspire creativity and collaboration. Their work is seen as an ongoing process rather than a final product, guided by thoughtful outreach that uncovers opportunities to strengthen connections, improve accessibility, support multigenerational engagement, promote well-being, and cultivate a shared coexistence between commerce and residents.
