HKUST is committed to creating a more vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable campus to support the university's educational goals and priorities. This commitment was first articulated in the Hong Kong Sustainable Campus Consortium Declaration, where the presidents of eight Hong Kong universities stated:"We recognize the important role and responsibilities of the higher education sector to provide appropriate responses to the challenges of climate change and sustainable development through our core missions of research, teaching, and knowledge exchange." Building on that momentum, HKUST adopted a powerful new vision for moving the campus forward.
