History HL Solicitors was conceived in 1990 as a specialist debt recovery department within a general law practice concentrating on volume consumer finance litigation. The business evolved via the application of IT solutions to legal collections and litigation strategies. Today the firm provides a full range of pre legal and litigation services to credit providers, debt purchasers and both B2B and B2C businesses. HL continues to expand its range of services through innovation and investment in systems technology. Acquisition of Incasso LLP In January 2013, HL Solicitors acquired the business and assets of Incasso LLP. Incasso LLP was the debt recovery division of Cobbetts LLP, a general law practice formed in Manchester with origins going back to the early 19th century. Incasso LLP who had headquarters in Leeds, employed over 50 staff and was established as a market leader in Debt Recovery. The management team at HL recognised the synergies between the two firms and the potential to grow the business and quickly acted.
