Like most family businesses, the Holdcroft Group developed from modest beginnings. In 1966, Terry Holdcroft opened the first business in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. It was, and still is, renowned for a warm, friendly and personal service, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and outstanding value for money. Holdcroft became an immediate success and continued its development by opening dealerships throughout the Midlands selling the leading franchised marques. As the company expanded, its growth continued to be structured on a total dedication to quality motor vehicles, and customer service. The Holdcroft Group is now firmly established as one of the largest motor vehicle retailing groups in the UK but continues to appreciate the importance of a continued personal relationship with their customers. The company recognised from an early stage that only a satisfied clientele would continue to ensure the future growth and success of all the areas of leading family business. From its humble beginnings in the mid 1960s, the Holdcroft Group has now grown and diversified into a substantial organisation representing, across North Staffordshire and Cheshire, many of the world's largest manufacturers.
