Technology is nowadays integrated into our lifestyle, and we are spending approximately 45% of our awake time interacting with various technological devices. Today’s technology is however not yet adapted to the full human potential, which makes us constantly searching for better solutions; better audio and image quality, better algorithms and smarter functions. We experience our world as three dimensional but are stuck with a virtual lifestyle in two dimensions. Until now. Holoscreen is a new groundbreaking screen technology that’s able to present a full fledged 3D experience with respect to both position related parallax and depth perceptional stereopsis. The screen technology can produce high 3D resolutions resembling the impression of looking out a window, but can also produce 2D images without any hardware alteration. Holoscreen can be produced both thin, cheap and in any number of sizes, making integration into all future products possible. The feature of producing both 3D and 2D images with only one screen, without jeopardising the support for touch technologies, makes this screen optimal for an assorted array of products that will present new and fresh experiences within design, presentation and media. A new more natural way to experience the virtual world will then set the norm for all future screen and display products.
