Homeless Heroes Aid

Homeless Heroes Aid focuses exclusively on rehabilitation of veterans suffering mental ill health, and providing independent living arrangements for former homeless Veterans. We work through an integrated three-part model that addresses the problem in its entirety: immediate psychological needs and counteracting long-term effects of diagnosed mental ill health on a society. This is followed by sourcing employment opportunities for those that have successfully completed rehabilitation, after which we place them in suitable sustainable housing to help Veterans rebuild their lives. In the first instance, we provide food, hygiene kits and clothing to homeless Veterans that approach us for help. Subsequent interventions will involve structured periods of counseling, alcohol and drug abuse rehabilitation and medical treatment. Additional support for those ready for independent living will include education, retraining or the acquisition of a new skill. When individuals are deemed ready, they are helped to move into new homes – fully furnished by us and help is provided to identify and secure employment opportunities.
