Expect a smile and a friendly associate always available to help you. We opened our first HGI location in 2021, but our roots in Wisconsin’s grocery industry run deep. In over 70 years of business, we’ve crafted a people-first culture, and we know how to win in Wisconsin business. Many of the extra services common to larger grocery stores, such as full-service meat and deli departments, require lots of square footage. They simply wouldn’t fit in our smaller-footprint HGI stores. That’s why we offer you the best of the basics. What’s more, our network of stores provides a built-in backup system of inter-store support, so when one store needs extra staffing or stock is running low, a “sister” store can send reinforcements of people or product.
