Hope Street

We are a team of kiwi young-adults who have partnered with a team of like-minded Ugandans to prevent child trafficking in Arua, Uganda. The team in Uganda run safe homes where at-risk children can come to live and facilitate community foster placements. They run a community awareness programme to equip the district to protect their own children from traffickers. They mentor street kids, run a repatriation programme to reunite displaced children with their biological families, and run sustainable enterprises so that the project can work toward becoming self funding.
