Horn Connect is a Somali-owned private strategic communication, media productions, and newsgathering company based in Mogadishu, Somalia. Since its inception in 2009, Horn Connect has developed a good presence and footprint in every region of Somalia and employs equipped mobile teams for coverage and production in remote and urban locations. Horn Connect has successfully implemented and covered over one thousand satellite feeds and more than two thousand packaged news items, feature productions, and documentaries. An example of our early work is the continuous coverage we provided on the infamous 2011 Somalia drought where we used our mobile teams to cover the event from its early warning to its recovery. Furthermore, Horn Connect was the only source of live coverage during the historic implementation of the 2011 - 2012 political road map process that led to the formation of the current Somali Federal Government. We have transmitted live coverage to both local and international TVs, Radios and other interested parties around the world. Our abilities to do live coverage enabled us for the first time to witness historic events such as the election of the speaker, the president, and their inauguration. We produce an assortment of public information and educational entertainment for radio and TV programs. Examples of our work include radio dramas, radio debates, public service announcements, and documentaries. Additionally, we continue to offer Multipoint Teleconference services to different clients who include local authorities and interested parties for crucial political meetings to advance the consolidation of the Federal Government. We have mobile and able teams in all regions. Hornconnect is the incumbent service provider of Satellite News Gathering, Public Address Systems, Video Streaming, Outreach, and Events Management to UNSOS, UNSOM, and AMISOM.
