HotKettle helps instructors and teachers verify the level of their student's understanding of the subject instantly. It is an adaptive assessment tool to measure a student's understanding of a lesson through personalized challenge. It is an AI-based Automated Question Generator used by Instructors to enable their students to self-assess their knowledge. It is based on principles of Adaptive Learning (AL) and Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT)- Frequently Asked Questions - Q) I am an instructor / teacher. How do I start to use the program? First, you will need to do a quick registration with your email address. You will be able to generate assessments by uploading a PDF file of your content. The application will provide you with a link that you can share with your students to self-assess their knowledge. Q) How long does it take to generate an assessment? As there is a serious text processing being carried out, it may take 4-6 minutes on an average. Our choice of using advance reasoning LLMs adds to this time. For files with large text size, it could take more time. Once the assessment is created, thousands of students can take it simultaneously. Q) Is the same quiz given to every student taking an assessment? The generated item bank for an assessment remains same but the difficulty level and the underlying order in which the questions are asked will be different for every student. Q) I am a student and have been given a link by my teacher. What do I do with it? Well, just click the link and start your self-assessment. You will be asked to login through one of of your social media application's credentials. It is only to access the assessment. Q) Do you store the file that is uploaded? Never. Your content file is immediately deleted from the system once we have generated the assessment from it. If you need to revise the assessment, you will need to upload the file again.
