We are a company dedicated to harnessing technology to develop sovereign defense capabilities and advance the vital national interests of the United Arab Emirates. Through the supply of innovative products and services, we aim to revolutionize military test and evaluation, enhance military training and secure critical national infrastructure. Houbara was formed to take on these challenges and as a strong UAE/UK Joint Venture between Middle East General Enterprises (MGE) and QinetiQ plc. It is also associated with the Emirates Defense Companies Council (EDCC), a leading UAE Defence enterprise. We aim to collaborate, invest in and develop the engineering facilities required to assure current and future operational capabilities, and to support research and development for next-generation, autonomous capabilities. The Houbara partnership is evidence of QinetiQ’s and the United Kingdom’s commitment to working collaboratively in the UAE, by supporting the UAE leaderships national vision and strategic development goals through the transfer of knowledge, investment in manufacturing capabilities and creation of career opportunities for UAE nationals.
