Housing Action Council (HAC) is a regional not-for-profit organization dedicated to expanding housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income households throughout the Lower Hudson Valley region. For nearly 50 years, we’ve helped bring thousands of affordable homes to life—partnering with local governments, developers, and communities to support inclusive growth and equitable development. Our work spans housing policy, planning, and direct services—from helping residents access rental and homeownership opportunities to advising municipalities on zoning, development, and fair housing strategies. Team members engage in a wide range of hands-on projects and collaborate closely with leaders across sectors. We believe that housing sits at the center of nearly every issue that shapes our communities – it’s not just about where we live; it’s about how we live.
