HT Cabos e Tecnologia, is the Brazilian subsidiary of Hengtong Group, a Chinese group that is one of the ten largest cable producers in the world and one of the three largest optical communication companies in the world. The Hengtong Group complex consists of 70 wholly owned companies and holding companies (3 of which are listed on the Shanghai, Hong Kong and Indonesia stock exchanges), with 11 manufacturing facilities based in Europe, South America, South Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia, sales offices in over 30 countries and supplying products to over 100 countries. Among the solutions offered are optical fiber, energy, marine, as well as internet of things, big data and electronic commerce, emerging materials and new energy. Headquartered in Pouso Alegre, Minas Gerais, HT Cabos e Tecnologia was set up in 2015 and, since then, is a base for Research and Development, R&D and production of optical cables, being one of the main suppliers of optical cables and drop cables in Brazil.
