A non-profit serving the Bay Area since 1983, Humanities West explores history and celebrates the arts through time and across the globe, bringing you illuminating lectures and dynamic performances that focus on the people, places, ad events that have shaped, and still inform, modern cultures. The only independent non-profit offering humanities and arts programs of this scale, Humanities West Programs include lectures, performance, and discussion panels; they take place Friday evenings and all-day Saturdays at Marines' Memorial Theatre near Union Square in San Francisco, and occasionally as special events on week nights.
