Huron Rose Counselling

An innovative leader and Founder of Recreational Respite Inc. Canada (est. 2008), I am a pioneer of establishing the promotion of recreation in respite supports offered in the home and community to neurodiverse individuals (autism, ADHD, anxiety or cPTSD), those with mental health struggles, senior adults and others who experience isolation and social disconnect. Now as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in private practice at Huron Rose Counselling with an M.A Counselling Psychology and a B.A in Disability Studies, my educational, personal and professional experiences lend to the counselling support of grief and trauma for the same individuals and their families. Grief work includes a death and loss, but also a diagnosis (or late diagnosis), a major life change or transition or an experience of ‘othering’. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and have the privilege to practice in Ontario, Canada.
