Hydro-Climate Extremes Lab H-Cel

The Hydro-Climate Extremes Lab (H-CEL) focuses on hydrology and land–climate interactions to monitor and understand the evolution of extreme events such as heavy rainfall, floods and droughts, as well as to better quantify and understand snow dynamics and their role in the hydrological cycle. The lab has long-standing expertise in hydrological modelling and in the use of remotely sensed observations to enhance these models, in stochastic modelling of hydrological variables, and in studying land–atmosphere interactions across local to global scales.
