Hydrobot

The unnoticed runoff of drinking water infrastructure is a serious problem worldwide, causing billions of cubic meters of drinking water to be lost every year. In Hungary, the value of this is outstandingly high among European countries:~ 30% of the annual drinking water turnover is lost. It corresponds to 100 million cubic meters of unused clean water. These are collectively referred to as unbilled water (UBW), whether caused by cracking, leakage, breakage, or theft. Hydrobot is an automatic robot for drinking water piping that can record inside a pipe with a built-in camera and microphone over a certain distance. Recordings are analyzed through proprietary software. During the analysis, the signs of breakage, cracking and other damage are filtered out, and their exact location and a diagnosis (which includes suggestions for service and maintenance) are handed over to the pipeline operator (customer). Diagnostics includes the solution of both preventive and acute problems, so the maintainer can get a more detailed picture of how to reduce UBW in addition to problem management.
