Teachers Supporting Teachers Worldwide to Strengthen and Internationalize Education. i-Ed, Inc. matches teachers with teacher leaders, professional learning communities, and Self Organized Learning Environments. i-Ed 2014 programs focus on sending teachers abroad to learn about the world, help other teachers, and build a global education tool chest. i-Ed 2014 programs send teachers to Senegal, The Arabian Peninsula, Spain, and El Salvador to expose teachers to new subject and cultural knowledge, best educational practice, international education projects, global education resources, and opportunities to work with international peers and students. The Senegal program delves into the rich history of West Africa and its cultural legacy throughout the global African diaspora. The El Salvador program helps teachers learn to serve this U.S. immigrant group by visiting international projects and local initiatives to address educational gaps. Spain provides teachers with a greater tool chest of bilingual resources and deeper understanding of a country that shaped the Hispanic world. Experience Arabia: Go Beyond Stereotypes in the Changing Arabic World takes teachers to Qatar, UAE, and Oman because they are exemplars of countries trying to maintain the best traditions of ancient Middle Eastern cultures while modernizing into power houses of economic development.
