Because the structures built with SIPs are so energy efficient, the cost to operate (heating and cooling) them is lower and more sustainable than conventional technologies. Lastly, the building strength provided by SIPs is significant over conventional construction. When done right, the walls resist racking and bowing, which allows them to withstand higher loads. Compared to conventional stick construction, there are no thermal bridges that lower energy efficiencies. Walls are straighter and more robust, and the construction process is much quicker.
