Iaeste Lc Erlangen

The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is an independent, non-profit and non-political student exchange organisation. It provides students in technical degrees (Science & Engineering) with paid, course-related, training abroad and employers with highly skilled, highly motivated trainees, for long or short term projects. With over 80 countries involved and exchanging over traineeships each year worldwide, it is the largest organisation of its kind in the world. The Local Committee (LC) Erlangen promotes the IAESTE exchange program among technical students in the metropolitan area of Nuremberg. It supports outgoing and incoming trainees, which includes organising the housing, helping with the authorities and hosting cultural and social events. All trainees will be supported by volunteers and IAESTE alumni. As part of IAESTE Germany, IAESTE LC Erlangen is part of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and funded by the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
