Non-verbal behaviour and communication is a captivating area and skill, that is not fully utilised by businesses to its full potential. It sounds hard to believe, but just 7% of how we communicate with each other is through words, so that means that 93% of our communication is deemed “nonverbal.” Non-verbal cues are a significant part of effective communication, from face-to-face meetings, negotiating or team meetings, your non-verbal message can be even more important than what you say. Business people who want to utilise influencing strategies effectively, resolve conflicts, provide coaching and feedback, inspire and motivate others, and find ways to engage their teams and clients must be highly aware of every signal they’re sending whenever they communicate.
