With members in over 100 countries, IATEFL is one of the most thriving communities of English language teaching professionals in the world. Our mission to “link, develop and support English Language Teaching professionals” worldwide is achieved through: • Regular publications, including our magazine IATEFL Voices and Conference Selections publication. • The Annual International Conference and Exhibition attracting around delegates • 16 Special Interest Groups to help teachers develop their own lines of interest. • Reduced rates on a range of professional journals, products, courses and services from a range of companies. • Scholarships allowing deserving teachers to get involved in our Conference, events & online courses. • Links with over 100 national Teachers' Associations around the world. • Assistance in helping new groups to establish their own a local Teachers' Association, including advice on how they can make the most of support and funding benefits. ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION Our annual conference is one of the largest in the ELT calendar. With ELT professionals from more than 120 countries, it involves a 4-day programme of around 500 talks, workshops, panel discussions and presentations, as well as a vibrant social programme. This offers delegates a unique opportunity to meet leading theorists and writers, and exchange ideas with fellow professionals from all sectors of ELT. In addition, there is a large exhibition involving providing a one-stop shop to see the latest ELT publications, products, courses, online platforms, service providers, recruiters and much more.
