Ibc Project

The IBC Project (Investment Banking Club Project) was first started at Memorial Senior High School (Texas) by two juniors, Ayaan Tabani and Colin Xu after starting an investment banking club of their own at school. Both are finance enthusiasts, and were fascinated by the world of finance, but not just the world for individual investors, but for corporations, large businesses, etc. That’s where investment banking came in. No corporation succeeds in its endeavors without an entity that can act as a middleman between investors with money and companies with ideas but lack capital. Investment banking is the key to success for all corporations, and is pivotal within the sell side in finance. For many as well, investment banking is a stepping stone to many other careers in finance, such as hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, etc. But most importantly, the IBC Project was created to cultivate a passion for finance. We wanted people to know that careers in finance can be just as prestigious as traditional career paths such as doctors, lawyers, and engineers. Financial passion does exist.
