iCESTE d.o.o. is a specialized company who is dealing with advanced mobile measurement of retroreflection of horizontal traffic signalization. The company is specialized in road inspection control, which is closely related to the field of self-driving vehicles. Self-driving vehicles and vehicles that communicate with road infrastructure are already among us. Road infrastructure operators must maintain the horizontal signalization at such a level that it can be detected by the vehicles in all weather conditions. The quality of horizontal signalization is important for: • better traffic safety of road users; • orientation of drivers according to markings, especially in difficult weather conditions; • driving directions for drivers; • cyclists; • warning motorcyclists of dangers; • proper communication of the infrastructure with the vehicle. Dynamic Retroreflectometer is safer and quicker than standard methods of measuring retroreflection, because of its operational speed which is up to 120 km/h and measuring capabilities. The device can measure whole lane horizontal signalization, which means road lane lines, center lane markings and counting of road built-in markers. Measurements could be performed with minimal or no impact on traffic flows. From financial perspective, this results in external and internal cost savings. Last but not least, all captured data is exported to advanced software, where analysis is performed.
