Danube Logistics SRL is the general investor and operator of Giurgiulești International Free Port, the main sea-river port of the Rep. of Moldova. The port is located at the maritime section of the Danube river allowing for calls of vessels up to 7 m draft. Currently, five terminals are operational at the rivers Danube and Prut- Oil terminal- 2 grain terminals- 2 cargo terminal piers; Danube Logistics provides cargo handling and storage services, logistics and transportation services and administrates a business park within the port area. Danube Logistics offers the possibility to lease land plots to companies that wish to invest into storage or processing facilities. Danube Logistics is wholly owned by the Dutch company Danube Logistics Holding BV. The ultimate owner is the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
