Id Eight En

ID.EIGHT is a sustainable sneaker brand founded in 2019 by brand manager Giuliana Borzillo and South Korean designer Dong Seon Lee. Two different backgrounds, one shared vision: uncompromising design and ethics. Giuliana, with her experience in business development and passion for responsible innovation, and Dong, with his international creative background, have chosen to redesign the way we think about and produce footwear. Our sneakers are genderless, cruelty-free, and inspired by the 1990s, with timeless designs that are not subject to seasonal trends. At the heart of the project is the use of innovative materials derived from food waste—apple peels, grape pomace, corn, mycelium, and cactus—combined with recycled fabrics. From soles made from recycled rubber to eco-friendly packaging and an end-of-life recycling and repair program, every detail is designed to reduce environmental impact. The brand has already received important recognition, such as the Pitti Immagine special prize in the Who is on Next competition organized by Vogue and Altaroma, the Green Product Award, classification in Unicredit StartLab, the Emerging Designers award from Micam Milano, and CALLforFASHION from the MIP incubator in Florence. These achievements highlight the brand's work on the supply chain, material innovation, and design quality. From the launch on Kickstarter—which exceeded its initial goal by more than three times—to international collaborations and a growing retail network in Europe, we are building a community that goes beyond purchasing: people who share a more conscious way of walking. Our mission is simple and ambitious: to prove that style and responsibility can coexist, step by step.
