IDCERT is part of the broader process of modernisation directed towards the 'knowledge society' as already advocated by the European Community, and thus fits into its strategic framework of education and training. We know that being a citizen of this age means being able to respond to the challenges of an increasingly rapidly changing system. Knowledge and competence are the main tools for responding to this pressing need for adaptation. Digital competences, in particular, will increasingly constitute the pivot to which one's competences can be pivoted in any sphere, be it work, study or even just personal growth. IDCERT responds to these needs with its online and residential courses, through its network of Competence Centres.
