Idube Cold Storage

Idube Cold Storage is conveniently situated in the Dube Trade Port at King Shaka International Airport. It has easy access to all the major routes on the North Coast and an easy link to the Durban Port. The main purpose of the facility is to handle and store locally manufactured perishable product for export and import purposes. The location of the facility offers easy access to the KSIA Cargo Terminal for any air cargo requirements. One of the major benefits of our location is that we are within an IDZ (International Development Zone) which offers high security for our clients product. We comply to a rigid quality management program that conforms to HACCP and ISO principles. The facility is registered with the Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries, National State Veterinary Services, Perishable Product Export Control Board and the Department of health. We have a capacity of 8500 hi-cubed, mobile racking spaces. We have 3 chambers and can handle a total of tonnes of product. All our racking is certified to carry a Maximum of 1.4 tonnes per pallet space. One of the three chambers have been designed to be a dedicated drum room. The racking can utilize 1.2m x 1.2m type M pallet basis. This room enables us to bring drum temperatures down in a short time, almost acting as a blast freezer. Our plant has a multi temperature capabilities that vary between + 7 Degrees Celsius and -30 Degrees Celsius. We will soon be able to offer “Bonded Warehouse” storage options. We are a Level 2 contributor.
