Iedc Sbc

IEDC of St. Berchmans College is one of the most respected student-led and run wings in the university. IEDC SBC is a component of a project by Kerala Start Up Mission to encourage, foster, and instil an entrepreneurial culture among students. IEDC aims to serve as the student population's initial innovation and idea launch pad. It has already generated a lot of buzz within the institution. By setting up programmes, classes, and camps, IEDC SBC attempts to eliminate the element of uncertainty that always stands between a brilliant idea and its suitable implementation to be useful in this world. Mr. John M Thomas, the former CEO of IT parks and start-up missions, inaugurated IEDC SBC in 2021. IEDC SBC began with 9 leads and approximately 250 participants; today, it has 9 leads, 30+ ex-com members, and over 500 active participants. One of the IEDC's primary highlights are the discussion forums. IEDC SBC has received numerous awards in its brief but remarkable career. It has been named the best emerging IEDC,one of the top performing institutions among arts and science colleges in the state, the best performer in the district of Kottayam, and the best performer in the state.
