Engineering for Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) is a technical chapter under Vellore Institute of Technology, part of the bigger EMBS chapter worldwide. Founded in July 2012, we won the best chapter worldwide in 2014. The core purpose of EMBS is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. The VIT chapter of EMBS works toward achieving this goal by conducting multiple activities and student engagements like hands-on workshops, webinars, seminars, events, hackathons, project works, research papers etc. Although our core chapter mentions specifically about medicine and biology, we, the members of EMBS don't limit ourselves to that. We conduct multiple interdisciplinary workshops and events focusing on the all-round and Goliath development of an engineer. EMBS is essential to the global technical community and to technical professionals everywhere, and be universally recognized for the contributions of technology and of technical professionals in improving global conditions.
