Ifsa Lc Unhas

The International Forestry Students' Association (IFSA) is indeed an impressive global network connecting students in forestry and related sciences. It operates through more than 130 member associations, also known as Local Committees (LC), across over 50 countries. IFSA provides a platform for students to engage with peers, organizations, and policy platforms related to forests and environmental sciences. IFSA emphasizes global cooperation among students to enhance understanding of forests, cultures, and environmental issues. It is a non-political, non-profit, and non-religious organization entirely managed by students. The association aims to empower youth by facilitating student meetings, encouraging participation in scientific debates, and promoting involvement in regional and global decision-making processes concerning forests and sustainability. One of these Local Committees is IFSA LC UNHAS, situated at Hasanuddin University in Makassar, Indonesia. Established in December 2020, IFSA LC UNHAS contributes to IFSA's mission by engaging students locally and fostering their participation in global initiatives for sustainable forest management and environmental conservation.
