Igleo Building System

IGLEO is a lightweight, quick and sustainable building system, designed to build walls and roofs with. IGLEO is a modular building system. Its main modules, the building blocks, are made of EPS (Expended Polystyrene Foam). EPS is a high value, flame retardant type of Styrofoam. Using IGLEO building parts, you can draft, design and build with ease. The system consists of stackable modules. In and on the building blocks, you can incorporate supporting and stabilizing parts as you are building and afterwards. Recesses inside the blocks allow to insert service pipes, such as gas pipelines, electric power lines, waterworks, and ventilation shafts. As we designed IGLEO, we were bearing in mind the ease that is noticeable when we see children play with Lego, or build an igloo when there’s snow outside. IGLEO’s EPS/ Styrofoam walls can be completed with any type of wall paneling, each of which can be dismantled easily, in case you wish to change the wall finish or rebuild your building elsewhere.
