Over the last decade the leadership team of IICE conducted research across many schools (a large number within Karnataka, India) to study the ways in which learners’ best acquire English as a second language in different environments. The research presented a strong case for learners learning most effectively when they were made to actively participate in the learning process and in a subconscious way. It challenged the conventional chalk and board technique and placed activity based environment that involved all students’ active participation. It gave teacher a role as a facilitator in assisting students to participate in the activities and learn English with ease. IICE is a Bangalore based organization catering the services to several private, semi government bodies that have been working to make a difference in students’ lives through skill building activities. IICE is a back-end integrator of Content and Methodology to many reputed organizations.
