Ik Stanstad

1990 was formed Staffanstorps IBK, and the following year IBK Viking. 1992 formed another hockey association in Staffanstorp, Kyrkbyns IBK. In the winter of 1993, the situation with the three competing floorball clubs in the village was untenable. The result was that Kyrkbyns IBK decided to join the IBK Viking and later in the spring also took Staffanstorps IBK initiative to contact IBK Viking about a possible merger. After long discussions formed what would later grow to Skåne's largest floorball club, IK STANSTAD. The association's birth date was the 8 August 1993. The name, which would be neutral, was taken from the then ongoing refurbishment project Staffanstorps center - Project STANSTAD.
