The ICC regulates utility services in the electric, natural gas, water, sewer and telecommunication industries. The ICC is also directed by state law with protecting the public by overseeing certain transportation activities, including railroad safety, trucking insurance and registration, relocation and safety towing, and household goods moving companies.
