Imago - Living Lab

The IMAGO project is an experimental and sustainable Living Lab for student housing, aimed at addressing the societal and environmental challenges surrounding student housing in France. The project is led by the ACT program at the University of Bordeaux and is supported by state funding managed by the ANR under the Future Investments program, reference In the face of the crisis facing the student housing sector in terms of adaptation, accessibility, resilience, and sustainability, IMAGO aims to propose innovative solutions while anchoring itself in the local context of the Bordeaux campus. The project brings together students, teachers, and researchers from various disciplinary backgrounds, as well as an ecosystem of professionals and industrial partners supporting the project and the development of knowledge to adapt to real-world conditions. IMAGO relies on the effective integration of students as designers and makers of the project, and for some, as future users and beneficiaries of its results. Fostering enriching collaborations, the IMAGO project also aims to internationalize knowledge and experience sharing at the European level through its integration into the ENLIGHT program of a European university. This enables the pooling of skills and resources to develop innovative solutions adapted to the needs of the participating countries, and to strengthen the "Challenge-Based Learning" approach for a responsible and innovative learning model.
