Imam and Associates – IAA was formulated in 2004 as an independent consulting engineering organization with firm determination of providing quality consultancy services. The skills and expertise built up by its top management and key personnel in planning, design, supervision in engineering projects and all type of socio-economic and environmental improvement projects, health and hygiene support, disaster preparedness, etc. for different organizations available in Bangladesh and in Asian Countries. IAA was incorporated in 2005 with DCC as an independent Consultancy firm. For many years, the top management and key technical personnel of the firm have provided consultancy services in the fields of civil engineering, infrastructure development, water supply, water resources, groundwater exploration, water treatment, irrigation, drainage, sewerage, low-cost sanitation, solid waste management, disaster preparedness and management, sub-project appraisal preparation, baseline survey, environmental assessment, institutional strengthening, etc. and many of the projects were financed by different donor agencies and international financial institutions like the World Bank, ILO, UNDP, Asian Development Bank, etc. Engr. Md. Imam Zafor, having more than 33 years of practical experience and with a post-graduate Masters’s in Civil (Environmental) Engineering degree from BUET, is one of the leading engineers of the firm and heads its management. Mr. Imam with long experience in planning, design and construction supervision of all type of physical and environmental interventions, especially for water supply and sanitation projects of Bangladesh has played significant role in the field of environmental engineering in home and abroad and took active part in major projects of the discipline in DPHE, LGED, DMB, UN and private agencies.
