Imeche Student Chapter At Ist

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is one of the fastest growing professional engineering institutions. Headquartered in London, but with operations around the world and over members in more than 140 countries working at the heart of the most important and dynamic industries. IMechE Student Chapter at IST was initiated and first presided by Muhammad Faizan, a student of IST, under the supervision of Dr. Asif Israr who is serving as HoD Mechanical Department at Institute of Space Technology (IST), Islamabad while following the rules of Student Affairs Department at IST. The chapter has the aim to discourse the vision of IMechE, which is to improve the world through engineering, among the students of IST. As of now, there are four departments in the chapter; Project Management Department, Event Management Department, Media Cell, and Finance Department. The chapter is focused to give hands on experience of engineering to its affiliates. For this purpose, the Project Management Department is facilitating the Student Affiliates of IMechE at IST in every way to take part in the prestigious events of IMechE like "Formula Student" and "Unmanned Aircraft Systems Challenge".
