Imesec - Usp

O IMEsec é o grupo de extensão do IME-USP focado em segurança da informação e liberdade digital, construído por alunos do curso de Ciências da Computação do Instituto de Matemática e Estatística (IME - USP). Criado em 2016, o grupo foi reestruturado em 2024, promovendo o ensino e a prática da cibersegurança dentro e fora da Universidade de São Paulo. Nossa missão é capacitar os estudantes como futuros profissionais da segurança digital, disseminar esse conhecimento estratégico para a comunidade, e defender a liberdade digital na atual era da informação. Por meio de aulas práticas, palestras, eventos e CTFs, proporcionamos um ambiente inclusivo e colaborativo que conecta o meio acadêmico às necessidades reais do mercado de tecnologia e segurança. Founded in 2016, the group was restructured in 2024, promoting cybersecurity education and practice both within and beyond the University of São Paulo. Our mission is to empower students as future digital security professionals, spread this strategic knowledge to the community, and advocate for digital freedom in today’s information age.
