Immersionprograms At The Language Exchange

Founded in 1992 the Language Exchange remains a community of open-minded folks interested in traveling, understanding cultures, and one word at a time establishing life-long relationships with speakers of other languages. Based in Portland, Maine, The Language Exchange provides a broad range of language-related services to individuals and businesses statewide and nationally. These services include written translation work on a variety of subject matters; private instruction; daytime and evening group classes in Mandarin Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and more sporadically Arabic, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, and Swedish; specialty weekend workshops; cultural events; as well as a multitude of social events designed to foster the practice of as many languages of the world as possible.
