IMPROVE is a company active in music sector, based in Italy, but with an international vision. It was founded in 2021 thanks to an international network of musicians that touches in particular Italy, Sweden and USA, but is expanding more widely and is constantly growing. It aims to operate mainly:_with musicians, accompanying them in a process of professional growth and career development, through mentoring, tutoring, coaching and classroom training for skills development;_with non-profit associations, supporting them in project writing and networking actions;_in the management of musical events. It starts from the idea that being a musician today is no longer a matter of musical skills and knowledge. Study and performance aspects are important, but so is developing further skills that go beyond playing itself and are related to the so-called ‘music business’. Having a clear project goal, planning the timing and steps of an artistic journey, creating and strengthening the network, looking for gigs, managing the leadership of a band, the emotional sphere and a stage, communicating skills and more. These are just some of the soft and hard skills, formal and non-formal competences, that every musician is required to develop in order to build a career, but to which, unfortunately, current educational training leaves little space.
