Impulse Biomedical is multi-medical device development start-up based in Cape Town. We aim to provide effective, affordable and consumer driven technologies. At Impulse Biomedical we believe access to appropriate healthcare is a basic human right. Although we have made strides in improving access to healthcare,South Africa still lacks consistent universal access to affordable, high quality medical care. Impulse Biomedical envisions a world where researchers, advocates and professionals in the developing world provide solutions to problems that are unique to our environment. We are fuelled by our passion for people and enabling all to live their healthiest lives. We aim to build the trust of consumers i.e. patients and clinicians by developing effective technologies to help save lives and reduce the impact of illnesses and chronic diseases on daily life. We strive to enter the medical device markets locally and globally to make healthcare technologies accessible to all. Our current focus is predominantly in the field of asthma and allergy.
