IMU is a new venture representing some of the best independent music labels, helping them licence content to brands and agencies who want to use music as part of their marketing campaigns. IMU was set up to meet the demands of today’s fast-changing marketing world. Brand campaigns no longer rely just on 30” TV spots – instead there’s a mix of Facebook pages, MySpace profiles, Twitter streams, podcasts, video streams, events and more. It’s created a need for fresh content on a year-round basis. Traditionally it’s been a difficult process to use the content you want to because so many licences and permissions are required. IMU has been set up to make this process easier, faster and more cost-efficient for brands and agencies, and at the same time help independent labels benefit from credible brand partnerships.
