In-Common Laboratories was founded in 1967 as a co-operative endeavour among three hospital laboratories (Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, and the Ottawa Civic Hospital) and funded as a pilot project through the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Due to the model's success, ICL was incorporated as a not-for-profit in 1975. In-Common Laboratories is a private, not-for-profit company that has worked with public hospitals and laboratory medicine providers since 1967. Our Canadian and US based strategic reference laboratory partnerships provide the best solutions to our clients. We provide value-added services that extend the technical and production expertise of hospital laboratories to benefit the entire health care community.
