The Indian National Basketball League (INBL) is a first-of-its-kind open-entry, developmental sports league, committed to discovering, developing and promoting basketball talent in India. What sets INBL apart is its revolutionary, yet simple structure, which begins at the community level and where anyone can put together teams to participate in tournaments organized by INBL. There is no need for players to belong to a club or association, thus ensuring the inclusivity of players from all backgrounds in the sport. INBL was started in 2021 and held its inaugural 3x3 and 5x5 tournaments. INBL has seen over players participate and has held competitions in 20+ cities across India. INBL is recognized by the International Basketball Federation FIBA. Players registering in the INBL tournaments are registered in the FIBA system, thus making them official prospects and allowing them and India to earn FIBA points. INBL is led by the passionate backing of Chairman and Director Rupinder Singh Brar, Dushyant Khanna, Co-Founder and Director, along with Parveen Batish - CEO, to bring international spotlight to Indian basketball talent, with the ultimate aim of getting India to participate in the Olympics. Guided by this ambitious vision, INBL is building the foundation for talent cultivation and establishing an ecosystem that actively supports basketball players, in their pursuit of success.
