INC was originally created as a Neural Center for Consumer and Market Knowledge (CMK) to connect our diverse activities and businesses in the different branches of the coffee industry, facilitating the acquisition of structured information to generate localized innovation and adaptation of products and services to better meet the needs of different customer segments. Its primary objective was to collect, analyze and leverage consumer actionable insights, market trends and competitive intelligence to drive business decisions and focused innovation, to meet the evolving needs and preferences of consumers in different markets. Due to market dynamics, INC ended up assuming the role of our coffee trading company and, more recently, due to the growing demand for transfer of know-how, we ended up structuring the external consultancy area. INC integrates data from a wide range of sources, including consumer surveys, focus groups, social media monitoring, retail sales data, and competitor analysis, to identify patterns, trends, and correlations, and thus be able to foresee white spaces, unmet needs and opportunities for differentiation in the market.
