Independent Environments, Inc.(IEI) is a non-profit providing support at home and in the community to adults who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities. IEI currently operates 10 homes in the Eugene, Oregon, area. It is our mission to assist the people we support in living healthy and happy lives by fully participating in home, community and family life. IEI brings this mission to life by expanding the horizons and enhancing the quality of life for the people we support as well as their families, friends, our employees and our community. IEI is proud to have beautiful, well-kept homes and long-term employees who truly enjoy and value what they do. IEI is a unique, values driven organization. We are small by choice, following a slow and carefully orchestrated model of growth. We believe that while growth is healthy, maintaining quality of life for the people we support is essential. IEI envisions a world where the fundamental rights of all people are respected and valued. In this world, people are spiritually and emotionally fulfilled, financially secure, well paid for the jobs they perform, and satisfied by the relationships they experience with friends, life-mates and co-workers.
