HOW IT ALL BEGAN – BECAUSE WE DIDN’T JUST BUY IT Independent Solutions was formed in 2007 by two sisters, Cindy Dickens and Vicki Williford, after being frustrated and unsatisfied with client care and project management services deployed by most large labs and inspection firms over a 17 year period. WE GET IT – BEEN THERE, DONE THAT We believe what truly sets us apart from the rest is we "get it" when someone is late, over-budget, doesn't show up, etc. Working as a construction manager in the retail business for 4 years prior to starting our inspection services division gave us an understanding not found in our industry. We had to answer to the owner when something went awry, when an extra cost was "found", when a lab missed a test and now is impacting the GC, etc. We feel the construction management background coupled with the inspection and testing background gives us a unique prospective not found with ANY other lab ownership. We truly get it. BRINGING OUR “A” GAME – BECAUSE IT’S ALL WE’VE GOT When we decided to start our “own thing”, we made a list of everything we didn’t like about where we’ve been. Top of the list continues to be, “Not Giving the Client What You Sold.” That list continues to be the basis of our decisions. OWNERSHIP, OWNERSHIP, OWNERSHIP - SIT BACK, RELAX AND ENJOY THE SERVICE We approach our role as a member of the team; a member of the team who takes OWNERSHIP of our role. You WILL NOT have to be responsible for the day to day Quality Control operations. That’s what we are here for. That’s why you hire a professional. We work with closely with your Contractor and their subcontractors so that there are no surprises, inspections are covered, tests are documented and sign offs happen. We provide project support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It really doesn’t matter why it happened – what matters is the end result. As a result of these concepts and beliefs - We walk our talk without excuses, plain and simple.
